Listener Comments and Reviews

June 2, 2014 To the management of 97.1, I am writing to complain about the Mike Valente program and today’s programing theme. I am a 72 year old occasional listen who sometimes enjoys the sports conversation. I have, in the past, thought that Mr. Valente tended towards being obnoxiously arrogant to the point that I would turn off your programing. However, today’s performance by Mr. Valente has hit a new level of arrogance, provocation and ignorance on a topic that he obviously has no competence to discuss. Furthermore, it is clear from his rant that he is a follower (which is his right) of right wing internet paranoia. Statements like, “Obama’s regime”, “insurrection in this country like not seen even in Europe” have no place on a sports talk program. And, I’m not so certain that that is what your station had in mind for his programing? Mr. Valente’s performance today was based totally upon his personal opinion and has “absolutely” no place on a sports talk program! Frankly, if I wanted to listen to that kind of ignorant, hate filled rant I would tune into Limbaugh. Finally, as a U. S. Army Veteran (’60-’63) I am offended by “chicken hawks” who rant about how they honor our servicemen and women. Honor them by deeds, not with your loud mouth! Sincerely, Mr. Sheldon Kaye

This is a good channel when they play music. They are a boring talk channel in the afternoon. They've been the biggest reason for the decline of Rock music in Dallas. The Eagle killed the Rock Star.

They should play other artists such as crown the empire, falling in reverse, nirvana, pierce the veil, sleeping with sirens. Play post-hardcore bands.

Finally, I find a rock station here in the Dallas/Ft.Worth area! After trying to hand tune stations, got fed up with all the Country,Hip Hop/R&B broadcast. Had to do a internet search to find this station. To my relief, The Eagle turns out to be very similar to KILO in my home town of Colorado Springs Co.! Thanks Clear Channel, keep rocking!

I love this station when they play music. Good mixture of old and new rock. However, I change the station in the afternoon as the insanely boring talk crap that is on absolutely stinks! Either be a talk radio station or one that plays music. Because attempting to be both is NOT working!!

Kegl has been an instrument of kick ass relation's and a standard of original and exclusive musical sharing for year's! Only a few are called and less chosen! After 15 year's of sound professional and magnetic bliss and burn they continue to hold the line, and we all know it can be a rotten buiz! So hat's off for hanging around!

They were just discussing John Fogerty/Creedence. I have great idea if anyone agrees.... Why not form a new cajun/country/rock band with Fogerty, Sylvester Stallone and Actor Carl Weathers...Call it THE APOLLO CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL. It could have songs like Rocky on the River Down at the coroner (after one of Apollo and Rocky's bouts NEW Song for peope on IH35...HIT THE ONE IN THE MIDDLE Keep on rockin and rollin!

I am collectively trying to establish a accurate report and will begin step's to improve our interactive listening experience. I would also like to hear input from the different audience spectrum's as well as the type of content carried by Radio,TV,and other type's of electronic communication device's! As well as your thought's of broadcasting rythym's ad influence, and other way's we can combat and repair some of the disturbing reception we receive on a daily basis! Your's Truly , Mr.KAMAN WEY BARBER.

Supposedly a rock station? I actually, almost heard a NIN song on last week. Then the drone started talking...... 102.1 died, 97.1 died (At least when I listen to the radio) Guess I'll do like the rest of Dallas and stream Spotify in my car.

I thought the comments that were made today (March 16th) around 5:00 p.m. in regards to the young 19 yr old young lady who was killed while posing for pictures on a train track were beyond insensitive and heartless! This young lady is dead, and y'all are making fun of her. It's disgusting to hear what all was being said. Yes, it was an ignorant move on her part to pose for pics anywhere near the train tracks. However, I think she's now paid the price. Maybe you should think about who might hear your program. What if her family heard what was being said? Are getting a few laughs on your show really worth going & on and on about what happened & laughing about it? Where's your respect? Oh yeah, that conductor who called in he probably won't be in the railroad business too long. This poor girl is dead. Let her family rest. Sleep well tonight.

Been listening for years, but most of the time have to change stations when all the talk starts. Now it's from 2 to 7pm. Way too much. Talk is okay, but it needs to be limited to about 1 hour. Otherwise the music and Cindy Skull.

Enough with the talk radio in the afternoon on what used to be the best rock station probably in the country. You make us listen to sirus.
