I am seeking help to promote a quilt the Abilene Quilters’ Guild is raffling off to benefit the Food Bank of West Central Texas. Every year we pick a non-profit to raise money for by making a raffle quilt. The quilt was made and we started selling chances to win it, then the virus hit Abilene. We have cancelled our 26th annual quilt show scheduled for June 13. However, we still have the quilt. We know how much of a demand for food has been placed on the food bank. We still want to support them in this endeavor. However, our typical way of getting the word out was going to Artwalk, sitting in front of Walmart or Sam’s Club, etc. Due to virus that was not scheduled. If you would announce this endeavor, I would greatly appreciate. The tickets are $ 1 each or 6 for $ 5. The quilt is a queen size, 93 inch square. The drawing will be held May 20th. The quilt is now hanging at R Quilt Haven at 115 N. Leggett. The tickets are available until May 15th at R Quilt Haven or a message may be left at our Facebook page Abilene Quilt Show or Abilene Quilters Guild.
