Dear KTEP Radio: Have you heard the song "They Made Rachel Cry" ? About separating children from their parents at the U.S. border. You can hear this song on YouTube by clicking the link below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZ3uvZ5QeMQ&list=PL7mExU3ZYCrURQGqaQiM_dcA6X144AFTE&index=1 There are other songs that are appropriate for our time as well. I have created a collection of original country and folk style music that ranges from traditional country love songs to modern political folk genre. "The Troubles of The Past are still Here Now" - This one covers a lot of modern day issues "Together Forever" - Country Ballad "No One to Stand Beside Me But You" - Country Ballad If you are interested in learning more about me, (The writer and Singer) you can go to the following link: https://store.cdbaby.com/Artist/SteveRegan Thank you very much for your time and consideration. I know this may be out of the ordinary and against the submission rules, however I'm giving this a try anyway. This composition was written by Don Langley and the vocals recorded by Matthew Douglas, an 11 year old who wishes for A Beautiful Place where there is hope for all children and people of all ages to live in a better world. I originally wrote the music after the gun violence in Parkland Florida hoping for change, and when Matthew stepped up to the microphone and recorded the words in one take, I knew that is came from his heart. Matthew had a scare in his school and with all the violence, he asked to record this song and I am so pleased that he did. You may not be able to play the music on air, however, someway we hope that this current composition becomes less current and that the words may offer some sense of hope for all those who have lost family and friends. The composition is also on Spotify, You Tube, Amazon Music and Itunes. https://www.YouTube.com/results?search_query=a+beautiful+place+don+langley We hope you will find time to play the composition. Sincerely, Don Don Langley Composer A Beautiful Place www.donlangley.ca don@donlangley.ca www.newdiscoveries.ca info@newdiscoveries.ca
