Our charity group Gift of Love (501(c)(3) tax exemption) is having a fundraiser on Oct 10, 5 p.m. at the CopperTop Church social hall in Duluth. It is to raise funds for victims of disasters especially for the victims of the Nepal earthquake (4/25/15). The entrance donation for the dinner and evening program will be $15 per person. Our guest speaker Cheryl Diaz Meyer, who grew up in Duluth, won a 2004 Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News Photography. Her talk will include a show of her winning photos in Iraq. We will also have a silent auction of various items, such as gift certificates and Diaz Meyer's signed photos. Those interested in helping victims of disasters and in photography would be most welcome. Everyone is welcome; we would love to have as many people as possible. Entrance fee of $15 or tax deductible donations can be sent to Gift of Love, PO Box 805, Duluth, MN 55801. Do you charge for an announcement of this event for two weeks before Oct. 10? How much? Since our group is a charity group, we won't be able to afford much. Thank you for any response to my inquiry.
