Anna seeked out employment in Spartansburg Pennsylvania locating a job in early May of 2014, with an Amish family in Spartansburg PA as a direct care worker taking care of disabled children. At the start of the job from Jamima and John Byler of Spartansburg PA, Anna was told she will have to dress Amish to work here but she will still be able to have a job regardless of the fact that she no longer follows the Amish church teachings and is a born again Christian. In early February of 2015 at the end of her shift Anna was informed by the Bylers that Anna will need a new job because the Amish Bishop does not want her working with Amish because a born again Christian is not Amish!
