I have a special interest in WHPE Radio, having worked there in the year 1950. Your are at 1070 so WGOS must be the predecessor of WHPE. Back then the WHPE format was popular music with local wire service news and Hi-Tom baseball along with Sunday live religious singing.
I would certainly appreciate any information you may have regarding the establishment of WHPE and following years, plus any information regarding the names of people who were employed there during those early years.
I remember the studios were on the third floor of the Enterprise newspaper building and were quite impressive for the time.
