CHILDREN are CRYING can YOU HEAR THEM?
Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is a volunteer program
in Jefferson Parish whose mission is to break the cycle of child abuse
and neglect through volunteers advocating for safe, nurturing, and
permanent homes for foster children in our community.
For over 30 years, CASA has served the abused and neglected children
involved in the Jefferson Parish Juvenile Court System, and we are currently
are in need of more volunteers. CASA volunteers are more than “volunteers”;
they are the voice for children. They assist in ensuring that children understand
the process that they are involved in (through no fault of their own) and make
sure that their best interest is represented in the court system. CASA Jefferson has been a voice for nearly 240 children.
