Listening to your show in Champaign, IL, on AM 1520 at 1040am. I am surprised and greatly disappointed regarding your discussions on Climate Change AND Antibiotic Use.
Discussion on climate change was grossly one-sided and completely uninformed to be called a serious update or discussion. Comments regarding "the President giving EPA more power" is completely out of context, especially for farming! Tainting one's respect for a Federal Agency that does MUCH to protect the air, water & soil of America is very counter-productive.
Seriously folks, who is this Lobbiest in your discussion & whom does she really represent?
Second, if the farming INDUSTRY wishes to have crop insurance, then you need to UNDERSTAND THE LINK between farming failure and climate. As a taxpayer, I certainly do not wish to fund an industry's intransigence and ignorance on adhering to sound science.
Finally, there is PLENTY of SOUND SCIENCE on antibiotic resistance. A more productive discussion might be better spent on how (mostly large scale) farming practicees could be better managed and operated to dramatically reduce the need for antibiotics.
