Hi there! I learned about AM 900 a week ago when I was messing around with my GE transistor radio. However, the station I found is not a English/Spanish Christian station. This 900 plays music from the 30s, 40s, and 50s! The tagline is "Your Kind of Music, On The Sunny Side!". It's called WKDA, and it's from the Nashville area(I got the same storm reports as 1510 WLAC) Did they end the Christian programming, or does it simply air at a different time. I usually listen in the evening, between 8 and 1100. I'm listening again at 230 pm, still no religious programming. It's definitely not what I'd expect from the towers, but as a big fan of games like Fallout, L.A. Noire, and Bioshock, it's pretty cool to hear this stuff on a real radio station, just like the old days. I'd love to know more, but I can't seem to find anything on the Internet. Any answers would be highly appreciated. Have a nice day! 🙂

Like Harrison has said, this station now appears to play classic music from the 30’s to the 50’s with artists such as Dean Martin and Bing Crosby, and a 60’s song here and there. It’s mainly slower stuff, but Ballad of the Alamo by Marty Robbins did play earlier on this evening. I, like Harrison, was scanning through some stations earlier today on my transistor and heard this music playing. It threw me off as I know this station hasn’t played this kind of music in a very long time. It does seem to be all day and night, has no ads and has weather reports every now and then, I’m assuming this since it’s lower on the band. I’m a fan of this station, I hope it sticks around. The website for the old station information is gone, so I’m assuming someone has taken over the station. Anyhow, you can catch me listening to this station from now on :]

Nice to hear what sounds like music that used to be heard on WAMB. Was it "the music of your life" or something like that? It would be wonderful if you could find some sponsors to make broadcasting that sort of music a regular part of the Metro Nashville airwaves again. 900 AM is a pretty difficult listen on the west side of Nashville but it is still FUN to listen. In fact, there is a satisfactory sense of "deja vu" hearing the crackle that comes with AM listening from being several miles from a transmitter. IF you are able to keep playing the good/better music, it would be fantastic if you could also blow some of the "dust" off the transmitter and antenna to help that signal cover your potential audience a bit better. I do wish you all the best. I'm an old DJ from days gone by and still a fairly active VO "talent." LOVE YOUR MUSIC.

Still listening when I'm out in the car. 900 AM is not a strong enough signal on Nashville's west side to be totally enjoyable. Wish they'd find a way to be able to make a go of this and even find some advertisers to help them afford to keep the station AND the format on the air.

Last week, I bought a shortwave radio via WalMart. I have not pulled in much on the shortwave side but have managed to get a couple / few extra stations that I could not on my clock radio. One of those stations is this! I am so glad! I have always been an old soul (born in the early 1970s). I grew up tuning in to local easy listening stations in the Wheeling WV & Pittsburgh PA area plus Lawrence Welk on television! I am afraid to change the channel, for fear that I will be unable to find it again! Long may it run! Many sincere thanks to all who keep this station and others like it plus the easy listening genre going! You are doing a great service to humanity / society!

I hear big band music on the airwaves, but spanish music online. Is there a window for the big band music? This is more of Dx question, as On a good night I can pull in WKDA from the Chicago suburbs, but the site is always in Spanish. Thanks
