Listener Comments and Reviews

I am stunned that you would get rid of a GREAT program (the Rude Awaking) to play a bunch of junk!!! Bring back the boys of TALK!!!
By: Dean on October 23, 2015

Goodby old friend. Sad to see you go the way of the dinosaur. Keep your music, I will get my talk radio fix elsewhere.
By: Alan on October 26, 2015

Too bad you've become a victim of "Normalcy Bias". I keep trying to delete 94.3 preset on my radio but maybe there is hope you may come to your senses.
By: Charles on October 27, 2015

What a shock to hear the garbage on this station. Bring back Glenn Beck. I will change my preset to AM 760!!
By: Andy on October 30, 2015

Where is talk radio??? How depressing.
By: Anonymous on October 31, 2015

The new station plays nothing but crap! I will never listen to this station again. Mr. Prirkle, I thought you had more since than this.

The Music sucks. Miss my favorite talk shows. I used to tune it 18 hrs. a day except weekends. Now, zero hours listening to this station. 94.3 used to be such a valuable service to the community, now it is useless bandwidth waste.

We are very disappointed with your new lineup. Bring back Talk Radio. The audience you may be appealing to now is limited. We are forced to find talk radio elsewhere and no longer listen to your station. This can't be a profitable decision for your station!

Didn't want to have to go back to HHH as he's a goody-tw-shoes.... But Rude Awakening has been GUTTED. There is only about 10 minutes of talk each morning, followed by angst-ridden leftist drivel music... when Mike, and Terry do talk, it is now mindless news items... It wouldn't be so bad if they had returned to 94 the X type music, not this sappy unheard-of crap.

LOVE to hear BEAZ in the morning! Is there a certain during the day he is on regularly? I don't want to miss it!
By: Dee on November 3, 2015

I just happened to tune in this afternoon on a return trip home from downtown Knoxville. I am 63-years-old and have always loved Rock & Roll. I wasn't sure what music I was listening to on the way home, but I liked it....one after another. I tried to look up a song to see who it was by, but unfortunately your website is under construction. Don't pay any attention to the nay-sayers who wrote to tell you how much the miss the old talk show. The music is great. Keep up the good work and I will abandon WIMZ forever!! Thanks!!

horrible, just plain horrible . . . extremely sad to see a great radio format destroyed for this crap music . . . bring back the boys of talk!
By: Dean on November 11, 2015

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TURNING OFF THAT AWEFUL CRAPPY TALK RADIO! IT'S ABOUT TIME MUSIC WAS BACK ON THIS STATION! I NOW HAVE A FEW STATIONS TO LISTEN TO... 104.5,90.3 & MY 94.3, BACK AGAIN. YES!
By: Shawn on December 4, 2015

bad decision on changing format , nothing worth listening to on your station
By: Joe on December 5, 2015

Great choice changing formats. We needed good new rock back on the air in Knoxville. Talk radio has been dead for 30+ years. no one puts the radio on in their car to hear people talking.

94Z should stop playing alternative hits, it doesn't help that the X was a well remembered "Active Rock" format... If 94Z really stepped up and started playing new hard rock/ alternative metal along with some emo- alternative and pop punk as "Knoxville's New Rock- Alternative then maybe y'all might rise up from struggle of being on air...
By: DJ on November 18, 2017

Love this station!! Happy to finally have something other than country and rock....
By: Em on July 11, 2018

Excellent station. I did not listen to the talk station so I am only going by the current line up and find it very satisfying as few stations play alternative rock.
By: Tom on January 10, 2019

This was one of my presets. I drove home Thursday morning listening to The Morning After with Jake and Tory as usual. I tune in Friday afternoon hoping to hear Pearl Jam or Nirvana, since 90s grunge is a big part of the format...only to find soft crap from the 70s playing. It was a bad way to discover the format had changed to music that sucks if you want some Soundgarden. I'll be removing it from the stereo buttons until they bring back Alternative.
By: Holden on March 24, 2019

New format is same ole same ole classic rock you hear on many other stations in Knoxville. I’m so disappointed. Why can’t we have an alternative rock station playing new alternative rock music you don’t hear on blah pop stations or another country station. It’s a shame. A whole entire market goes unserved by yet another boring over played old classic rock music.
By: Lisa on June 27, 2019

I miss it too, Lisa. Really sucks.
By: Michael on January 26, 2020

I am trying to find out who and what song you played a little after 6:00a this morning. I only caught the last minute or so. Sounded like Alanis Morrisett. Lyrics sounded like the way he sings. Almost a yodel. “...you belong to me...”. Sorry I have so little info. It was about 6:08. Can I get a list of 6 to 6:30?
By: Bobby Holcomb on November 16, 2020

all the old ppl complaining about their favorite talk show being gone for “junk music” is so funny to me please i cant anyways thank god theres actually an entire 2 alternative radio stations now
