The African-American book club will host former Cary resident and author, Nick Knardirell, at the Cary Barnes and Noble on February 18, 2016 at 7pm. Nick will discussing and signing her latest crime fiction novel, Minnesota: Her Account; Her View. Books may be ordered from Barnes and Noble for $15.99 and must be ordered in advance of the signing. Clinton High School is hosting the Dark Horse Trade Show Saturday, November 19th from 12:30 to 5:30, followed by the Mr. CHS Pageant at 6:30. Admission is $5.00 for each event or $7.00 for BOTH. The Dark Horse Trade Show was formerly known as “Jingle Mingle.” We have vendors of all sorts selling woodwork, jewelry, food, monogrammed items, handmade items, Clinton apparel, make-up, and much more. Please come out and support Clinton High School, their Clubs, and some of our local community members. The Mr. CHS Pageant will begin at 6:30 later that evening. The contestants will compete in Casual Wear, Swimsuit, and Formal Wear. The new Mr. CHS 2017 will represent Clinton High School, along with the new Miss CHS, Kaitlyn Royal, as an advocate for literacy in the community. The contestants are Jeremiah Pope, Emmanuel Williamson, Tyion Wright, Ryheem Skinner, Davon Spencer, Zakee Coleman, and Jackson Avery.
