We have run into a problem with our "girls, South City Knights Cheer Leading." We, thankfully the AD, Coaches and parents***NOT THE GIRLS*** have been told that there will be NO cheer leading uniforms. And in a not word for word quote, its because there is no money EXCEPT for the boys uniforms.... Our girls had to watch the boys get all their NEW....uniforms and were expecting theirs as well while standing in line waiting.......The, AGAIN, (not a quote word for word,) reason given was the boys needed theirs and the girls really don't......In addition the $ raised on the 29th at the South City Jamboree being held at Jackson Park, will go to the club.....Not for the girls as will any additional $ raised...If anyone knows why this club can't help, as all the other's in and around Roanoke have already bought their girls new uniforms, let 7, 10 or Fox 21/27 know.. Or any of us...We have some VERY SAD girls that of course do NOT understand......ALSO any $ for our girls uniforms would be greatly welcome......we'd buy everyone one because it's hard for some parents to have to buy more than 1 since they have more than one cheering... PLEASE PASS THIS ON! THANKS!! I'd even be happy to get you in contact with the Ath. Director if you'd like to talk with her or maybe even do a story...Thanks for all your hard work! Don't know if you can help or know someone that could...Would love to have you at the South City Knights Jamboree for the public on the 29th of Aug... free to the public!! Thanks for all your hard work! Listen to you daily!

My name is Chris Curtis and I am working with the NRV Habitat for Humanity. I am reaching out to you to help us find 5 more families who are interested in applying for housing and hoping you can get the word out for us. The townhouses are located at Church St. Blacksburg. It’s easy to apply and eligibility is quite easy, meet the income requirements and be willing to work sweat hours. We are also looking for volunteers for the worksite and the Rehab store. Individuals, groups, churches and students can work (16 and up with parents permission. Could you let me know if I could leave brochures and information about the housing or email it to you. Thank you, Chris Curtis

Hi - I doubt that I'm posting this in the right place but can't find any other! Lol I'm trying to find out if there is any locally originating classical music programming on 89.1. I'm aware of all of the programs that originate elsewhere but I'm looking for a local host with whom I might occasionally make a request. Thanks for any help you can offer. Walt
