Listener Comments and Reviews
I am a listener of WWIL 1490 a.m. radio. As a listener of the Pastor Greg segment of the morning show, I began to wonder what are the qualifications for your radio commentators. I was embarrassed as a member of the black community as I continued to listen. It was obvious to me that he was not comfortable behind the microphone and that he had not grasped proper command of professional English grammar. Being a former teacher and an occasional public speaker, I have found that my participation in the Wilmington Toastmaster Club was very helpful to me in my presentation of information. Toastmaster is a national organization that helps members to increase their public speaking and leadership skills. As radio personalities who are heard throughout a wide listening audience, professional skill is very important. Perhaps the Lamplighter Wilmington Toastmaster Club would be helpful to persons who want to improve their personal pubic speaking skills and present positive images to listeners of their messages. It meets at 6:30 p.m. the first and third Thursday of each month at the New Hanover County Government Center in Wilmington, NC. I was glad that Toastmasters was there to help me improve my public speaking skills. Perhaps,it would be of value to your commentators as well.
I am a concerned listener who realizes we are all one.
