I am Brenice a case manager with a new local organization called The Children's Center Inc. I am reach out to you to see if you guys can give us an interview. The Children’s Center, Inc. operates a Runaway and Homeless Youth program through a “Basic Center Grant” which was awarded to the organization by the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, Runaway and Homeless Youth Program. The Runaway and Homeless Youth program is designed to serve “non-system” children and youth or those who are not being served by CPS or other governmental systems. Outreach activities are conducted to identify and serve runaway and homeless youth in need of shelter and other “gateway services” to meet their needs. The program also reaches youth through Project Safe Place and when shelter is needed, through host homes that are operated to provide these children and youth with emergency shelter. We assist youth in finding work, food, and shelter. We have a drop-in center locally in Beaumont and here they are able to shower and eat a warm meal. We also help them with life skills. We are here to help 24/7 and are looking forward in assisting the community. If you have a youth in need please don’t hesitate to call our office. We do offer transportation.
