For your use Care Initiatives Hospice welcomes new team director (Sioux City, IA – Oct. 16.2018) Kristin Behrendsen, RN, has joined Care Initiatives Hospice as the new Sioux City Team Director. In her role as Team Director, Behrendsen will oversee a team of a registered nurses, hospice aides, spiritual care and bereavement counselors, social workers and devoted local volunteers. Behrendsen is a Registered Nurse who has devoted her career to working with older Iowans in long term care and skilled nursing care settings. She received her degree from Iowa Central Community College in Storm Lake. “We are very excited to bring Kristin on board,” said Miriam Yocum, Vice President & Clinical Director. “Her years of experience in healthcare will be of great service to our patients and their families.” Outside of work, Behrendsen enjoys family time with her husband and four children, spending time at the lakes, camping, boating and travelling.
