I work for Valley Fence Company out of Albuquerque, as a Project Manager. Our Company is going to start a roadway safety project on I-40 between MP 17.1 and 40.0 on 7/21/20. The work involves removing existing Guardrail and replacing it with new updated Guardrail Installations on the right and left side of Eastbound and Westbound lanes on Interstate 40. We will start on the east side of I-40 at MP 17.1 and work within 2-mile work zones. The right lane will be closed for this work. It is estimated to take about 4 months to complete the safety Barriers to MP 40.0. Next, the Guardrail Installations will proceed on the right side of westbound lanes from MP 40 going west to MP 17.1. This work is also anticipated to take about 4 months. Upon completion of work on the right side of Eastbound and Westbound Lanes, Guardrail Installations will commence on the left side of I-40 EB and WB lanes. The left lane will be closed to perform this work in the Median. This work is expected to take about 2 months each, for a total of 4 months. The total duration for the Project is 12 months.
