As a middle aged Lakota I love Pow Wow music especially our own Lakota songs. I was pleasantly surprised to hear Pow Wow songs on 2 stations in the Rosebud area, but after a few trips thru that area became downright angry at the songs themselves. 1st there was Pow Wows songs without any native words just the typical heya heya lyrics with silly animal like chirping and howling is this for real? 2nd are the songs that sound so Pow Wow like until you realize these people are singing in English. Our native songs are sacred to us as a culture and to have them mocked is most disheartening. I hope others will tell you this is wrong too. Thanks Sincerely Sheridan J. One Feather
