My wife told me she heard Danny O'Keefe's 'Good Time Charley's Got the Blues on your station, yesterday 12/21/11 at about 2:30pm. She said the DJ was talking about Danny after the song. I'd like to know who that DJ is - I'm a huge O'Keefe fan and would love to hear more of his excellent talent. BTW, Danny and I've e-mailed several posts over the last few months. He lives in Wenatchee, WA now, having grown up in Spokane (as did I), and you can get all his recordings from his website. I'd appreciate an e-mail from your afternoon DJ, or a phone call. I'm retired Raytheon and can be reached at home: 740-0458 / or lv msg. Sincerely, ~Bob Shank Tucson

is there any way to get this station in colorado? it is fantastic!
By: katie on October 28, 2012

I love this station! The older music is great. Please don't change the format. It seems every time we get a good selection of music to listen to someone comes along and changes it. Keep it up. Thanks!
By: Jeannie on May 12, 2013

The station is great it had more power. Move the tower to tucson mountains and change frequency to 103.7 or 104.5.
By: aerobics on June 11, 2013

This is great music without nasty annoying commercials! Just wish you had a playlist of current music artist & song playing.
By: lisa on August 20, 2013

Love the station. Wish you could be 24 hours and twice the power. Hopefully in the near future. Keep up the good music.

By: Barb on February 8, 2014

I listen to this station while driving. On Monday 2-24-14 and Tues. 2-25-14 I didn't get the signal to listen to the station. It was just blank---what happened?

By: T on June 3, 2014

I heard that this station was owned by Ted Tucker. Is this the same Ted Tucker that once worked at TMC?
By: Thomas Birkholz on August 7, 2014

Unable to receive anything but static for the last four days. You are either off the air or switched frequencies. Huge fan of your music and I miss it! Please let me know when you will be back. Thx

Where's the FOX?
By: John on February 5, 2015

Only get static. There is no other station like it in Tucson. When will you be back? Other stations don't do it for me
By: Betty W on February 6, 2015

Love your oldies music that I grew up with, except the rap crap like the other person said. You need a better web site so listeners can respond to your station. also would be nice to request songs to be played if possible.
By: Manny Herrera on June 25, 2015

Love station. So many requests for 24/7 station! I agree it is needed...... thanks for nice music.
By: Kelli Henley on July 23, 2015

Great station! Found this comment box while searching online for a possibility to listen to THE FOX over the internet. Do you answer the questions received ? If so, please let me know how you finance the station w/o commercials. Cheers and keep on playing the oldies! gwb
By: Glynn Burleson on September 25, 2015

It's a real relief to find a radio station in Tucson that actually plays oldies and does not continuously play the junk as 107.5 and 96.1. Thank you, now I can listen to the radio again. One more thing, the commercials. if I hear a commercial from moron that sells used cars, I think his name is Scott Baio, or something like that, or that goofy commercial that Sam Levitz plays, I guarantee I will turn you off. Your station is a class act, please keep it that way.
By: Ray Donnini on September 26, 2015

They do have a 103.7 in Corona de Tucson on 910 watts 96.7 is also in Corona de Tucson running 250 watts 98.5 is going to be out in Vail which is 3900 watts the reason why they turn down their signals because their signals running directional and they do not want to bleed over other stations the same reason for AM. also I do love the station and I wish they would pump it up because on the radio they said you should turn it on in the mornings yeah that's for the people out in Vail or we live right by the transmitter so it is a great station no commercials I wonder how they do do it and no advertisements either well I wonder who's paying for that also now I wonder why they can afford more power to their stations because all the money is going to the music without commercials so we shouldn't be too picky about it just enjoy the music playback and like I said enjoy
By: Armando on November 14, 2015

I know where your transmitter is located. I do not see any commercial power lines. I assume you are using solar. I live in the area. am a Ham Radio operator. I also use solar power. I have a small wind generator to help keep the batteries charged at night and on cloudy days. If you are interested send me an email.
By: Don Stiver on January 19, 2016

Hey people if you're wondering why you can't get the station at night it's because they're running off a battery and a Sun solar system so once the Sun Goes Down there's no Sun hitting the solar system that charges the battery for the transmitter so that's why you can't get it at night I thought I let everyone know that out there
By: Armando on March 6, 2016

And I forgot to mention in my comment before till I read about commercials this station does not play commercials I thought I let everyone know that out there too
By: Armando on March 6, 2016

I have loved your station until today when I hear my old favorites played in a weird way, like parts are echoed or repeated. I do not like the sound and if it continues i will take your station off of my radio buttons.

Hi there, I'm organizing an event next month in Vail, at the Vail Steakhouse. We are expecting up to 60 antiques vendors, artisans and food vendors. We have an ad in the Vail Voice. Our event is called Vail*Paloosa and we are expecting quite a bit of foot traffic. If you would like to participate, we'd love to have you! Please contact us for more info! Thx! Feliz and Andy
By: Feliz Zaborsky on March 24, 2017

Please play more Gordon Lightfoot. Absolutely love the station, but he has so many good songs that never get played. Summer Side of Life, Sundown, The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald, Carefree Highway, If You Could Read My Mind, just to name a few. And more Ambrosia too!
By: Anonymous on October 22, 2017

Just moved from El Paso Texas, this is a great station plays my music from the 60s and the 70s when I grow up. Some parts of Tucson don't get the signal, just around the Veil area and south Tucson. You all should consider going Nationwide and worldwide by becoming part of TuneIn Radio. TuneIn Radio is live stream please hook up to TuneIn Radio so that it can be heard all over Tucson all over the United States and worldwide your station deserves it should be heard everywhere!
By: Don Chavando on December 30, 2017

AWESOME RADIO STATION ! ! but PLEASE PLEASE ! something about ur signal reception it is very weak at times...does not reach the 85735 zip area at times !
By: Manny on January 11, 2018

Absolutely love the music played on this station. It is the best oldies station in Tucson and my favorite. I just wish they had better coverage all over the city and that they broadcast for more hours.
By: Arnold on February 2, 2018

This is a great station, the music is awesome! But you really need to do something about your broadcast signal! Turn up that dial!
By: M. Aguilar on July 7, 2018

just stumbled upon your station. Love it. Curious. I used to engineer a group of Phoenix radio stations, one of which was a100kw class C at 98.7 (use to be KKLT). How did you squeeze in? Buy your Engineer a beer.

Love this station been listening for years now. Wish you had more power, but for the last day or so I’ve not heard any music, it sounds like a DJ scratching a record on repeat. I hope you come back soon!
By: Austin O on July 30, 2018

What is with the firing of blank bullets for 3 days? Please someone restart the program!!!!!!!!!!!!
By: Burley on July 31, 2018

I love your station and am always disappointed when you go off the air in the evening. Today I heard a song I have always loved and have not been able to find. I can't remember who performs it or the name of it. Please send me a list of the songs that you were playing today Wed. 08/08/18 between 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM. I think the song is "Pagan Love", but I have had no luck finding it online anywhere. It is in the style of the musical group "Pagan Love Cult" but when I emailed them they say they don't know of such a song. It is very psychedelic and rises to a prolonged crescendo with numerous different instruments playing a fugue of melodies all at once in the background while..... a slide guitar maybe?.... plays one note in the foreground starting very low and slowly rising to the tip top of the scale. The words "pagan love" are actually sung in the song. It is driving me nuts that I can't find it anywhere.

Is this off the air? I live in Vail and haven't heard it on the air in two weeks? Will it be up again soon?
By: Donna on February 20, 2019

Where is Fox 98.5? Have you gone off the air? Loved the music but????? Come on what’s up???!
By: Don Case on February 28, 2019

Where is the FOX???? What does the fox say. Nothing. We miss u!
By: Clara on March 27, 2019

Ignore those comments asking to play current music. Then you'd be like all the rest. Great format! Old rock 'n roll is the only worthwhile music. But why sometimes are you off the air? I listen religiously from Sahuarita and freak out when I can't get your station. Bazooka Bob in Sahuarita
By: Bob Barry on April 9, 2019

Love this station! Wish it was more consistent with being "up" - it's how I get through my work days and it's sad when it's down or only static for days on end. (And now way to tell someone so they can look into it) Still, it's the best station I've ever heard and I REALLY love it! Thanks for having it out here in Vail. :)
By: Donna on June 19, 2019

gr8 station please get back on the air if you want some free help i am a retired Broadcast Engr.
By: Ron in vail on August 21, 2019

love your song programming love the no commercial format, BUT if I cant receive you on my car radio IN Vail then I have to say you are a wantabe radio station when you can't be picked up on a car radio in the Vail local area, and your a Vail radio station you say. How about you make sure you are broadcasting on the FM waves also every day that would sure be nice!

I pity your advertisers. You broadcast only 10% of the time, there is always interference.
By: f livin on May 8, 2020

Just happened upon your station, and love the music of my era! Also love the reduced commercials! Have reprogrammed all of my radios to include your station.!!
