The Outdoor Cinemas at Thompson Park - COCO starts on Sat, Aug 4th at 7 pm We'll be kicking off the 2018 Outdoor Cinemas in Thompson Park on Saturday, August 4th, with COCO. In Disney/Pixar’s vibrant tale of family, fun and adventure, aspiring young musician named Miguel (voice of newcomer Anthony Gonzalez) embarks on an extraordinary journey to the magical land of his ancestors. There, the charming trickster Hector (voice of Gael Garcia Bernal) becomes an unexpected friend who helps Miguel uncover the mysteries behind his family’s stories and traditions. https://movies.disney.com/coco The second movie will be WONDER, on Saturday, August 25th. Based on the New York Times bestseller, WONDER tells the incredibly inspiring and heartwarming story of August Pullman, a boy with facial differences who enters fifth grade, attending a mainstream elementary school for the first time. The Moriarty Irish Dancers will put on a performance, prior to the start of the movie. It should begin about 7 pm. The third movie will be A WRINKLE IN TIME, on Saturday, September 1st. The story follows a young girl who, with the help of three astral travelers, sets off on a quest to find her missing father. Refreshments will be available. The fourth movie will be THE BLACK PANTHER, on Saturday, September 8th. After the death of his father, T'Challa returns home to the African nation of Wakanda to take his rightful place as king. When a powerful enemy suddenly reappears, T'Challa's mettle as king -- and as Black Panther -- gets tested when he's drawn into a conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk. Dance Dimension will be performing before the movie, starting about 7 pm. These movies will begin at dusk. On the nights something is scheduled before the movie, we recommend you plan on being in the park and settled in by 7 pm. We will have refreshments available. You are welcome to bring pillows, blankets and your own snacks and refreshments. You can bring non-perishable food items to donate to the local food pantry. We would like to thank the following people and businesses for donating to the movies. Their generosity allows us to offer these movies free of charge and open to the public.
