Hello. I am a local Musician - Songwriter living in Bend Oregon, and I have a question for you. First a little about me, I was approached last year by Shanna Haag - Clark A woman who was involved in booking the big acts for the Les Schwab Amphitheater , and she ask me if I could write a song for Merle Haggard which she guaranteed she could put it into Mr Haggard's hand.and I agreed. Knowing that it would have to be an awful good song cause of the stature and career of Mr. Haggard, So in short I did something that has never been done before. I took a lot of his top charted songs and every line in my song is a Title to one of his and I did it in chronological order. Mrs. Clark passed away that weekend and since the song has gotten into Willie Nelson's hands and I am awaiting the outcome. Now back to the question I had for you. I've written a pretty funny Christmas song that falls in the category of "Mamma Got Ran by A Reindeer" , Only it's about a Cowboy who gets drunk on Christmas eve and has the misfortune of meeting Santa and Rudolph after they wipe out on his roof and taking out his chimney while ruining Santa's sleigh , Which being pretty drunk he believes is a stagecoach and horses and after talking to the horse with the red nose on his face decides to loan them his old ford truck to complete their task and then it gets funny. Everybody that has heard it has told me to get it on the Radio, Well i;m a poor Musician that has been playing and writing for over 37 years with no luck but my writing I've been told hundreds of times is excellent and I would like to know if I could get it played on your Radio station and if it becomes profitable split the rewards 50/50. I know this is a very unorthodox way of approaching something like this, but in the old days it use to work quite well so I thought I would take a chance and maybe you would consider the same as well as taking a shot with a local talent. I would be more then happy to meet or give you a copy in full of the song/ Respectfully yours, Mike Trammell.
