Thank you R Cox PSA From: Kentucky Office for the Blind & KSB Outreach West KY White Cane Dinner White Cane Safety Day is a national observance around the world, celebrated in October of each year since 1964. The date is set aside to celebrate the achievements of people who are blind or visually impaired and the important symbol of blindness and tool of independence, the white cane. In honor of this day, West KY is hosting a gathering for students, families, teachers, counselors, and individuals interested in vision loss. The program highlights the Charles W. McDowell Rehabilitation Center and how it assists adults and students achieve their educational, vocational, and independent living goals. The center offers programs to meet an individual’s training needs.
