Why can we never get 1240 am channel on our radio when its raining or bad weather?

Has the News / Talk Radio portion of WJNC-AM 1240 AM been discontinued? If so, why hasn't that been announced to the public? For over a week now when I tune in to 1240 AM the only thing on is Christian music with some limited spiritual commentary.
