while doing some ancestry research I found a newspaper article dated 1 June 1942 that read, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Essex, and daughter Joan, have returned from Cairo, where they spent the weekend. While in Cairo Mrs. Essex played a piano solo which was broadcast over station WKRO. Seems your station has been on the air nearly 100 years.
