Listener Comments and Reviews
Does anyone know how I can find out what song was playing Saturday afternoon, 11/24/12 at 1:55pm? It was a very heavy sounding blues song but I couldn't identify the title or artist. Thanks in advance. -Tom

I enjoy listening to your station. At approximately 11:58 a.m. on Tues. 10/22, 106.9 played a song about a man dying and he was strong and it had the words " I cried" in it too. If you still have your line-up for that day/time, would you please tell me the song and artist. Thank you, Brenda Monroe

How do I make a request

Why did you change your format to oldies instead of the previous, which was much better?
By: Patricia on April 5, 2018
Congratulations on your recent format change to “cool oldies”. You must be proud to know that you have eliminated one of the last vestiges of album oriented rock left on the planet.
106 is now an indistinguishable speck in the mindless and repetitive borg that is corporate radio.
There goes the last DJ.

I love this station. I’m 23 and have an old soul. This station makes me feel alive. My #1 station

Have been waiting since November for this station to switch from playing all Christmas music back to playing oldies but I was shocked to find they have changed their genre to hip-hop. So disappointing!! I don't care for hip-hop at all and there are other hip-hop stations in the area. Now there is no station that plays oldies.
So very disappointed.

Also very disappointed in the format change. Don't you realize the older listeners are the ones less likely to pay for streaming services and more likely to listen to the old school radio? and more likely to prefer oldies?
By: oldies on December 30, 2023
Well, that was rude awakening!, literally. After coming home from 2 weeks away, my alarm radio blasted rap about big butts to wake us up.
No, that is not what we wanted. What happened to the really great 106.1 Kool Oldies. We really like spending time in the morning with the mellow music and John Tesh.
Please tell me there is somewhere else to go on the radio?.

It turns out it has rebranded yet again. As of October 2025, It's now Q106.1, classic Rock. Which seems to be a selection of 60's-90's rock. I'm going to miss John Tesh and the Jimmie Bones show but hey, it beats the previous rebrand. I can't really argue with a station that plays Alice in Chains and Def Leppard.
