LEARN ABOUT NATIVE AMERICANS OF THE VALLEY The program “Native Americans of the Valley” will be presented on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 6:30 pm in the Quaker Room of Salem Public Library, 821 E. State St., Salem, OH. Traci Manning, Curator of Education at Mahoning Valley Historical Society, will present the program which explores the culture, life and lore of the Eastern Woodland Indians, the earliest occupants of the Mahoning Valley. Using original and replicated hands-on artifacts, this 45-minute presentation will examine daily activities, philosophy and legacy of the Valley’s earliest residents. Registration for this event is required online at www.salem.lib.oh.us or by contacting the library at 330-332-0042. This event is suitable for adults and students, is open to the public and free of cost to attend. Traci Manning holds a B.A. in Religion and Civil War Era Studies from Gettysburg College, a M.A. in Applied History from Shippensburg University, and studied secondary social studies education at Wilson College. She spent six years working for the National Parks Service in various parks as an education park ranger before coming to Mahoning Valley Historical Society.

On Sundays evenings when you play the oldies, please play more Statler Brothers. My mother listens to your station but would really like to hear some Statler Brother hits.
