Listener Comments and Reviews

I am extremely disappointed that you have replaced The Woody Show with sports talk radio. I began listening to your channel exclusively over other morning programs like Kiss's Elvis Duran Show when it came on and loved the blend of talk and music. I am glad to hear the KXNO crew got their jobs back but in your station's tone deafness you have swung the pendulum too far by replacing a much loved nationally broadcast show with content that only a small percentage of listeners are fans of. I have removed 106.3 from my preprogrammed stations and will not be supporting you any longer. Bring back The Woody Show.

What happened to the 106.3 radio station???? This was my favorite, but if it's only sports now then forget it.

What? Wheres my alternative music station 106.3. ? Do they even play music anymore? It was the only station in des moines that didnt play country, old rock or top 40. Now its all sports radio. Could have left the fm station and just left it in am.

I want to hear Alternative Music!!! NOT talking all the time. I want alternative music and I want the woody show back. It’s the o my radio station in the Des Moines area that plays alternative music.

Alt 106.3 was my favorite radio station, and one of only two or three that I would ever listen to. It played my favorite music and all my favorite bands. I would listen every day on my drive to and from work. I agree with everyone else who has commented: it was the only station in the Des Moines area to play alternative rock, and you have replaced it with boring sports talk radio that I can only imagine very few people being interested in. Big mistake on your part to disappoint thousands of people by taking away their favorite radio station. I’m sure I am one of many who has deleted 106.3 from my saved stations list. I wish that one day you will realize the mistake you’ve made and bring back the music and the woody show we all loved.

What happened to 106.3 alternative station!! It is sports now??? It was the only station I listened to!!

Alt 106.3 was the best music station in Des Moines and the Midwest. No other station came close. And you replace it with dime a dozen talk sports? You had a great product and I heard positive comments from many that traveled through Des Moines how good Alt 106.3 was. And now you've ruined it. I like sports, but KXNO can live on in am or take 104.1s spot.

I HATE the replacement programs for ALT 106.3. I will not be listening to people analyzing sports all day every day. The best radio station in the des moines metro was ALT 106.3. I hope, someday, they make it back.

Where can I find the Woody Show??? It’s how I started every day with a smile and overall optimistic attitude towards said day. Sports talk radio, WTF?, minds well have dead air. Thanks for fn up one of the last things I actually dug about FM and completely eliminating any possible reason I would ever have to listen to KXNO Sucks Radio.

I recently let my opinion be heard by the Neilson ratings group. I gave ALT 106.3 all the highest praise, before you changed up the programming. NOW I WISH I DIDN'T. If I could, I would take it all back. I loved the music selection on the previous version. Now I have to work my way through pop and rap (while driving). I moved to Des Moines 2 years ago and found ALT 106.3 music and was hooked, I even got hooked on the Woody show. WHAT THE HECK guys. Sports, sports and more stupid sports. You are off all my programmed stations. Bring it all back please.

I hate all sports please bring back alternative station
By: Logan Goziz on February 25, 2020

Bring back 106.3! Why would you replace it? It was one of the best stations, especially since it had the Woody show. If people want to listen to sports they can go to AM. Why does 106.3 need to be punished for a mistake iheart made? It doesn't make sense! Just as many people will be outraged by this change as they were about KXNO so you didn't solve the issue at all! Please bring back a station loved by so many!

Please please please bring back the Alternative music! I’m not trying to hate on the new guys, but it should NOT have replaced Alt 106.3 and the Woody Show. That was my favorite station, the only one I listened to consistently who gave me new, refreshing music that was actually good! I would play it in my car for friends, and they would ask for the station name so they could add it. It was hugely popular, and now I had to remove it from my presets because I am interested in music, not sports. :( So disappointing.
