WCGO airs foreign language programs, not oldies programming as stated above. The old WCGO, in Chicago Heights, used to air an adult standards music format. That station was purchased by WONX in Evanston and shut down so that the Evanston station could raise its daytime and night time power. WONX assumed the WCGO call letters but kept their brokered foreign language format that was broadcast on the old WONX.
