Vernon-Black Township Parks and Recreation Department would like to announce that the 4th Annual Riverbend Arts Fest will be held on June 25th from 10am to 2pm at Riverbend Park in Mt. Vernon, IN. Artists from around the area are encouraged to sign up for a booth to display original works of art. There is no fee. In addition, there will be live demonstrations from local artists, live music, and, new this year, storytelling. Among other acts, the Taleweavers will showcase their Louis and Clark presentation at 10:30am and noon in The Landing meeting room across the street from Riverbend Park. Also new this year will be a sidewalk chalk art contest open to all ages. Registration and flyer can be found on the Parks Department Facebook page. Deadline to sign up is June 17th.
