I am looking for financial help acquire legal help. October 2015 my sister and I packed all my things and some of my mother's things in my storage units. Both spaces had locked doors and were locked. We went to Texas to help my mother get settled. We had planned to go back to Alabama to get the stuff in the spring.
Unfortunately, March of 2016 I had a stroke. I was not able to do anything. During the next three and a half years I was recovering from my stroke. Sadly, on July 30, 2019 my mother died. While we (my family) were grieving and trying to bury my mother, that same week the woman who bought my mom's house next door, in Alabama broke open the doors of my storage and throughout everything. Her and her husband put my stuff in the cul-de-sac for garbage pick-up and took some boxes of things to the garbage dump. My Aunt in Alabama sent me pictures of the doors wide open and everything gone. I am devastated, all my things are gone, never to be seen again. Some of the things were family heirlooms and collectibles from years of traveling. There were boxes of family photos, my elliptical trainer, 50" flat screen tv, bedroom and household furniture, and so much other stuff of sentimental value. They need to be punished.
I am on disability and have very limited funds. I desperately need money to retain a lawyer to prosecute this woman and her husband for breaking into my storage and destroying everything.
I filed a police report and need help getting up to Alabama to sign it. The police told me they could not do anything until I sign the report. I have no way to get there. I need this help as soon as possible (Now!)
I greatly appreciate and thank anyone who will help me.
