I just saw Flint's water pipes on the news again this morning. Supposedly lead levels have decreased. BUT the long term effects on the children of Flint are devastating and will never decrease. And still no progress? Sometimes music is the way to reach people and open their eyes and hearts to a situation. A song was written about Flint's people and the water crisis shortly after its exposure. It was prompted by an interview the songwriter heard in which a citizen of Flint said, "We're left behind on McIntosh Drive". Check out the song "McIntosh Drive" written and performed by Annalyse and Ryan, a songwriting couple. Check it out by searching for them on the website bandcamp. (I see that no links are allowed. I hope you find this song and play it on your radio. Annalyse and Ryan are regular performers at Opry City Stage on Times square. It is Grand Ole Opry's new venue in NYC.) Don't let this issue be kept under wraps. Let Flint and Michigan and the country listen to this compassionate song about the plight of a generation of children and be moved to action in their name. Check it out now!!
