Listener Comments and Reviews

Dear Sirs(Ma'ams); I am a retired police officer having spent 14 years on the police force in Atlanta with the MARTA dept. I have written a book about my experiences and would like to know if you would like a complimentary copy. During these difficult days in our city I am hoping the input from a seldom heard voice of a Black female police officer may offer more and helpful perspective. I can be reached at (502) 772-9900 (H) and/or at (502) 299-3784 (C). Thank you for interest.

Lord, turned to station and beyond astonished at the conversation via church leadership! Take some accountability and quit the victimhood! And no, not expanding base, people sick of illegality happening in streets! Expletives yelled at police doing job, graffiti, broken windows, burnt buildings etc. Not all police are bad for Gods sake! Let the judicial system work, it’s slow I know, but it’s not about instant gratification. Good trouble Tuesday, oxymoron! Don’t complain and victim speak as laws were broken! No one minds peaceful protesting, whether agreeing with cause or not, it’s a right! But, you expected the police to come not prepared after the millions of dollars of damage caused downtown! Grow up! Most importantly, teach your community and parents, like the rest of us! Tell your children, stopped by the police it’s yes sir and no sir, don’t talk back, don’t run, abide by orders. I had more fear of my mother than the police growing up, today, too many respect neither! You can’t keep blaming the police when too many in your community find themselves in illegal circumstances, whether small or large. It’s not the action, it’s the reaction! Do better, be better, expect better!
