Around this time of year, we call upon your generosity and personally invite you to cover the Annual Taste of India Festival at the Cultural Center of India (CCI) in Chesterfield County, VA. The Taste of India Festival will be held this year on March 23rd and 24th (12:30PM to 8:30PM). CCI is the fourth largest facility in the Richmond Metro and the largest south of the James River. Many of the community and social events are subsidized by the facility as a service to the community. CCI is able to do this due to the responsible fiscal oversight by the Board of Directors in keeping its operating costs to a minimum. Historically, many of the major corporations in the area have sponsored the Taste of India event including our local community banks, John Randolph Hospital, Chippenham Hospital/HCA, Southside Regional Hospital, General Land Company, and Sam’s Club amongst others. The event draws thousands of people over two days. Admission is free, and people have the opportunity to experience and purchase a variety of Indian foods, drinks, clothing, jewelry, home goods and gifts, while enjoying the spectacular Indian cultural program on the stage. I hope we can count on you to help us with publicity for this event. The coverage of this event will make for a very engaging human interest story. The members of this organization include over 500 physicians, over 150 hotel restaurant and gas station owners and over 2,000 IT professionals and engineers. This year the theme is the “The Colors of Life”. We can guarantee that it will be very colorful and appealing to all people. The cultural program, especially the performances by the children are amazing. Please let us know of any additional steps that we need to take to be covered in your newspaper, magazine or newscast. In addition we would love for you to join us at the celebrations on March 23rd & 24th, 2019. Our President, Ms. Poojaa Shah Talwar, will be available for interviews. You may also call Nupa Agarwal (804)691-2655 With the Warmest of Regards and Gratitude, Nupa Agarwal & Sameer Shukla Publicity Director (s) Cultural Center of India, VA
